National Zoo

We had a fantastic time at the National Zoo last Saturday before Grammy and Papa left :) Joseph is getting old enough to actually be learning about the animals and doing the kids activities. Michael just LOVES looking at all the animals!

Fall has finally arrived!! Bruce and Kathy are visiting and we decided to go to Cox Farms. We had a lot of fun. There were giant slides, a petting zoo, hay ride, and a big giant pile of hay that the kids loved climbing on. It was a great day!

First Day of School!

Today Joseph headed off to Kindergarten! He was so excited :) When he got off the bus he jumped down and exclaimed "School is AWESOME!" so I think it was a success

Joseph is heading off to Kindergarten in a few weeks! I don't know how he got to be so big!
We have all of our school supplies ready (and in his backpack), he has already picked out his first day of school outfit (and he refuses to wear it before then)... and he still doesn't start for 2 1/2 weeks! I think someone might be a little excited lol.

Today we made this All About Me and I think I'll do this prior to school each year :)

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation to Utah this month. Joseph was so excited to see everyone and could hardly wait to go! WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD

Our day of travel went as good as can be expected traveling with 2 kids across the country.

At last we arrived!

Once we got to Salt Lake we met Aunt Carley. We went to play at a really cute play area at the City Creek Mall. They had cute little dinosaurs to play on in the middle of the food court. They had a blast!

On Thursday we drove up to Park City to meet up with my family. We stayed at a beautiful house and had a great time

We spent a day at Canyon Resort and rode the Gondolas. We also hiked up to a pretty lake, found a geocache, and played in a sandbox.

We spent the 4th of July at Park City Mountain Resort.

We had a lot of fun with family but our family reunion did have to come to an end.

After we left Park City we went up to Temple Square. Joseph wanted to see where Mom and Dad got married and its one of our favorite places.

 That night we had a Vincent night at the park.

On our last day in Utah we went up to BYU. They have changed the campus so much over the past 5 years! We ate lunch at the Creamery on Ninth. Matt and I have MISSED the ice cream so much! We said hi to my previous Young Women's President (she is now the Dean of Admissions at the Law School). Matt said hi to some of his previous professors and we walked around all of campus.

Heritage Halls was knocked down and replaced with these! They look really nice!
