Kohls Children's Museum

Back in March we bought a Groupon for the Children Kohls Museum, so we thought we better use it before it expires. The last time we went to the Children's Museum was for Joseph's 3rd birthday (back in Feb). I can't believe how much he has changed in the last 6 months. When we were there in Feb Joseph spent most of his time pushing buttons, playing in the "car room", splashing in "the water room", and banging in "the music room". This time we spent  most of his time in the pretend rooms, his favorite being the pretend Potbellys. He loved making sandwiches for me and Matt (and other random parents). He didn't care as much for the cash register part of it, but he loved the creating part.
The "water room" is still his favorite, but this time he was grasping the concept of using the water to make things spin or to make the balls fly (instead of splashing and floating boats). His favorite was making his water wheel spin by sticking it under various waterfalls. He also enjoyed playing with the Archimedes Screw. It would make the balls rise to the top and then they would fall off the waterfall (to which he would catch them in his net and start it over again). Here are some pictures!

Adding blades so the windmill will spin. It didn't take him long to figure out which type of blade made the windmill spin the fastest :) I have a smart boy!!
