Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation to Utah this month. Joseph was so excited to see everyone and could hardly wait to go! WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD

Our day of travel went as good as can be expected traveling with 2 kids across the country.

Catching a nap

Playing the Kindle

Being silly

At last we arrived!
Once we got to Salt Lake we met Aunt Carley. We went to play at a really cute play area at the City Creek Mall. They had cute little dinosaurs to play on in the middle of the food court. They had a blast!

Crashed on the way to Great Grandma's
On Thursday we drove up to Park City to meet up with my family. We stayed at a beautiful house and had a great time

We spent a day at Canyon Resort and rode the Gondolas. We also hiked up to a pretty lake, found a geocache, and played in a sandbox.

Playing LOTS and LOTS of games!

We had a lot of fun with family but our family reunion did have to come to an end.
Good bye!

After we left Park City we went up to Temple Square. Joseph wanted to see where Mom and Dad got married and its one of our favorite places.

Joseph wanted to put his hand over his heart because he loves Jesus

Silly picture
That night we had a Vincent night at the park.

On our last day in Utah we went up to BYU. They have changed the campus so much over the past 5 years! We ate lunch at the Creamery on Ninth. Matt and I have MISSED the ice cream so much! We said hi to my previous Young Women's President (she is now the Dean of Admissions at the Law School). Matt said hi to some of his previous professors and we walked around all of campus.
Heritage Halls was knocked down and replaced with these! They look really nice!
Eyring Science Center
Planetarium

And with that we concluded our vacation to Utah!

On the way to the airport- so pretty :)
This was a sign by the very LONG line to check your bags

More Grandparents!

Shortly after Matt's parents left, my parents came for a weekend. It was a short trip but we had fun!!

On Friday we went to the National Zoo, out to dinner at Chick fil-a, and then had ice cream at Zinga. I think we will be making a lot more trips to the Zoo. Michael LOVES to look at the animals. His favorite is the Panda. He laughed, smiled, and loved watching the pandas.

On Saturday we had a Tball game! We went out to dinner at Golden Corral and then went to get Ice Cream at Effee's (super yummy ice cream).

Sunday was a pretty relaxing day. We went to church and played outside :) This morning we had a goodbye breakfast at Chick fil-a. We were all sad to see Grandma and Grandpa go, but we are lucky enough to see them again in 23 DAYS!!

Summer here we come!

Its been a busy few weeks.

First off Michael has REALLY grown. He is now 18 months old. He climbs on EVERYTHING. I can't leave him unattended for a minute because he will make his way onto the top of something freakishly high (I swear sometimes I think this kid must be able to fly). He LOVES Elmo and could watch him all day. He fits right into our family with his love of music. Unlike his older brother he doesn't seem to show much interest in singing, but this little guy is a dancer :)

Joseph has graduated from Pre-K and is heading off to Kindergarten!! He is sad to leave his teachers and friends at 4Rs Preschool behind but is really excited to go to Kindergarten.

Matt had a birthday last month- I am now married to a 30 year old! Joseph decided that for Daddy's birthday he would make him a cake. He picked out everything... the cake, the frosting, and the decorations. He wanted it tall like Costco's chocolate cake. We didn't make it 4 layers like Costco does, we just stuck with 2 layers (lol).

Michael approved

So did Joseph

Hmm Cake!
Joseph found Daddy a Star Wars Poster for Daddy's office.
We got a new addition to our house- A PIANO! We get our taxes done really early and got our refund back. We were pretty boring... paying off our credit card. However, Matt was looking over our return (for law school loan payment purposes) and discovered a mistake our accountant made. Filed a correction and look! We got another $1000 back! The government caught 2 more mistakes (Yes we fired our accountant), but what should we do with our extra $1100?? Pay off the rest of the credit card and buy a piano of course!!! I have a happy hubby :) He has wanted a piano for 8 years! Joseph is almost as excited!

The end of June we had some visitors- Grammy and Papa!

Wearing Papa's hat

Playing!!!

Sidewalk Chalk- We had already completely covered the backyard so we moved onto the front!
Doing some chin ups

Riding our bike!!!
